5月8日下午,备受期待的JK Pioneer TED Talk展演活动在协和双语教科学校报告厅圆满落下帷幕。经过数月精心筹备与层层选拔,来自6-8年级先锋班的12位优秀选手站上了决赛舞台,用流利的英语讲述中国故事,诠释东方智慧,也用自信的表达赢得了满堂喝彩。
On the afternoon of May 8, the much-anticipated JK Pioneer TED Talk came to a successful close at the auditorium of SUIS Jiaoke Campus. After months of careful preparation and multiple rounds of selection, 12 outstanding students from the Pioneer Classes (Grades 6–8) stepped onto the final stage. They told Chinese stories in fluent English, conveyed the wisdom of the East, and won warm applause with their confident presentations.
本次活动由协和双语教科学校与新航道上海学校联合主办。展演现场,先锋班家长们与学校师生齐聚一堂,共同见证了新时代少年用英语搭建的文化交流桥梁。
The event was co-hosted by SUIS Jiaoke Campus and New Channel School Shanghai. Parents of Pioneer Class students, and school faculty and students gathered together to witness how the young generation builds a cultural bridge through English.

On Stage: Young Storytellers Bridging China and the World
展演分两轮进行。从经典人物到当代精神,从本土风物到人生哲思,12位演讲者的选题丰富多元,各具光彩——
The presentations took place in two rounds. From historical figures to contemporary values, from local landscapes to life philosophies, the 12 speakers covered a wide range of topics, each shining in its own way.
张一诺同学以Seeing Off the Kitchen God为题,生动讲述了“祭灶神”的传统年俗,让古老仪式在英语表达中焕发新意;林子涵同学引领听众奔赴一场探索工艺与良知相融合的匠心之旅,诠释The Spirit of Craftsmanship: Let Your Conscience Be Your Guide;范樱蓉同学的Empty Fort Strategy: Wisdom in Calmness用英语解读空城计中的智慧与镇定,视角新颖;刘昱昕同学以Much More Than Just Wit为题,呈现了超越智谋的东方智慧;钱瑛婕同学带来Yugong Removes the Mountains,传达坚持不懈的中华精神;贺子栩同学同样聚焦“工匠精神”,在东西方语境间架起理解的桥梁;杜雨宸同学解读三国智者的风采,讲述诸葛亮的多面智慧;曹曦恩同学在The Sound of the Alley中呈现弄堂深处的温情记忆,唤起老上海的生活图景;周照与李昕雨同学不约而同选择了外滩主题,同题异构带来别样精彩;李沐函同学以My Hometown, Hangzhou道出对家乡的深情眷恋;卢彦安同学再度以“工匠精神”为主题,用青春的视角致敬专注与坚守的力量。
Zhang Yinuo vividly shared the traditional custom of “Seeing Off the Kitchen God,” breathing new life into an ancient ritual through English. Lin Zihan took the audience on a journey of craftsmanship where conscience guides one’s work in The Spirit of Craftsmanship: Let Your Conscience Be Your Guide. Fan Yingrong presented a unique perspective with Empty Fort Strategy: Wisdom in Calmness, interpreting the wisdom and composure behind the empty fort strategy in English. Liu Yuxin, with Much More Than Just Wit, revealed a kind of Eastern wisdom that goes beyond cleverness. Qian Yingjie brought Yugong Removes the Mountains to the stage, conveying the unyielding spirit of perseverance. He Zixu also focused on “the spirit of craftsmanship,” building a bridge between Eastern and Western contexts. Du Yuchen interpreted the multi-faceted wisdom of Zhuge Liang, the great strategist of the Three Kingdoms period. Cao Xi’en, in The Sound of the Alley, presented the warm memories deep inside Shanghai’s alleyways. Zhou Zhao and Li Xinyu both chose the Bund as their theme, delivering different interpretations of the same topic. Li Muhan expressed her deep love for her hometown in My Hometown, Hangzhou. Lu Yan’an once again took “the spirit of craftsmanship” as his theme, paying tribute to dedication and perseverance from a youthful perspective.
以英语为媒介,12位少年不仅传递了中华文化的温度,也展现了先锋班学子扎实的语言功底与独立思考的能力。
Through English, these twelve young speakers not only conveyed the warmth of Chinese culture but also demonstrated the solid language skills and independent thinking of Pioneer Class students.
Interlude: Pipa and Ocarina– Melodies of the East
展演间隙,P7C班的黄紫橙与曹熙玥同学带来了琵琶与陶笛合奏。琵琶清脆明亮的音色与陶笛质朴悠远的韵味交相呼应,轻盈而富有穿透力,恰如一缕和煦春风沁入心扉。两位演奏者在合奏中展现了出色的默契与音乐素养,用音符点亮了东方文化的另一种表达维度。全场沉浸在古典与悠远的旋律中,久久回味。
During the intermission, Huang Zicheng and Cao Xiyue from Class P7C presented a duet of pipa and ocarina. The bright and crisp sound of the pipa blended harmoniously with the simple and far-reaching tone of the ocarina, light yet penetrating, like a gentle spring breeze touching the heart. The two performers showed remarkable rapport and musicality, illuminating another dimension of Eastern culture through notes. The audience was immersed in the classical and enchanting melodies, lingering long after the performance ended.

评委老师高度评价同学们的表现,认为大家不仅语言表达准确流畅,更难得的是能够用世界听得懂的方式,呈现有温度、有深度的中国故事。
The judges spoke highly of the students’ performances, noting that they not only delivered accurate and fluent English, but more importantly, presented warm and profound Chinese stories in a way that the world can understand.
一位家长在活动后由衷地说:“今天的舞台上,孩子们用英语搭起了一座座文化之桥,让我们听见了来自东方的时代回响。这不仅是一场语言的盛宴,更是我们亲眼见证的成长——孩子在这里拥有了全球视野,也更加热爱自己的文化根基。”
A parent said from the heart after the event: “On today’s stage, our children built bridge after cultural bridge with English, and let us hear the echoes of the East in our time. This is not just a feast of language, but a growth we have witnessed with our own eyes – our children have gained a global perspective here, and at the same time, they love their cultural roots even more.”
每一位站上舞台的孩子,都在用行动证明:中国故事,值得被世界听见。
Every child who stood on that stage proved through action: Chinese stories deserve to be heard by the world.

Afterword: Every Child on Stage Is a Storyteller of the Future
正如前期预告中所说,每一个站上舞台的孩子,都曾在一间教室里反复练习一句话的停顿与重音,都曾为一个故事的结尾反复打磨。
As mentioned in our earlier preview, every child who stepped onto the stage had practiced the pauses and stresses of a sentence over and over in a classroom, and had polished the ending of a story time and again.
5月8日这一天,他们的努力在聚光灯下闪闪发光。JK Pioneer TED Talk圆满落幕,但文化传承不会停步。协和双语教科学校将继续以英语为媒介,以中华文化为内核,陪伴更多先锋班学子在更广阔的舞台上绽放东方之声。
On May 8, their efforts shone brightly under the spotlight. The JK Pioneer TED Talk has drawn to a successful close, but the transmission of culture will never stop. SUIS Jiaoke Campus will continue to use English as a bridge and Chinese culture as the core, accompanying more Pioneer Class students as they let the voice of the East resonate on even broader stages.
